How to take your own P.D's?
The Scale Method
The PD measurement is extremely easy with a ruler and the help of a friend. Here's how you can do it:
- Stand in front of a mirror or with your friend directly in-front of you.
- Hold a ruler horizontally across your face, with the zero mark aligned with the center of your right eye's pupil.
- Ask your friend to measure the distance between the center of your right eye's pupil and the center of your left eye's pupil or measure yourself looking in the mirror.
- Make sure to keep your eyes looking straight ahead and avoid any tilting or movement.
- Take note of the measurement in millimeters.
